Big Moments, Bright Futures: Rose Bowl Divers Shine at AAU Nationals

After ten thrilling days of flips, twists, and high-flying performances, the Rose Bowl Divers have returned from AAU Nationals with plenty to celebrate—and even more reason to be proud. Out of 90 teams from across the nation, our incredible squad earned an impressive 18th place overall, showing that hard work and determination.

With 16 talented divers competing in over 50 events—including 1 Meter, 3 Meter, Tower, and Synchro on both 1 and 3 Meter boards—the Rose Bowl Divers brought their A-game to every event. Whether they were first-timers or returning veterans, every athlete played a key role in our team success.

Rising Stars at Their First Nationals

It was a debut to remember for several of our divers who experienced the intensity of their first National Meet. Hats off to Sean Kim, Matilda King, Lula Marquis, Kenyon Branch, Kayla Hawkins, Allison Moore, Alica Shanas, and Scarlett Nykamp. These athletes embraced the challenge and showed they belong on the national stage.

Each of these athletes competed with heart and precision, proving they could hold their own against some of the best young divers in the nation.

Podium Power: Charles DeHaan Shines

One of the most exciting highlights of the week came from Charles DeHaan, who clinched 2nd place on the 3 Meter in the highly competitive 16-year-old age group. His outstanding performance not only earned him national recognition but also pushed our team to a high podium finish.

As the team heads back to Pasadena, they bring more than just medals —they return with valuable experience, stronger bonds, and a deeper love for the sport. Congratulations to all our divers and coaches for an incredible Nationals run. The Rose Bowl Divers are on the rise, and this is only the beginning!
